The Wayzata Lions held their annual picnic at the Parker's Lake Pavilion Tuesday night. The Club installed it's officers for the upcoming year, recieved a welcome from 5M5 District Govenor Jan Cariveau, and enjoyed a steak dinner catered by Village Meats in Wayzata.

The Wayzata Lions sponsored the Summer Concert Series and distributed light refreshments.

The Wayzata Lions sponsored the Bend in the River Big Band through the Summer Concert Series by the Wayzata Chamber.

Wayzata Chamber President Peggy Douglas speaks at Lions dinner

Wayzata Chamber of Commerce President Peggy Douglas spoke to the Wayzata Lions during their monthly meeting on May 17, 2011, held at the Wayzata Country Club.

Douglas detailed her involvement with the Wayzata community, dating back to 1972 when she moved to the area. She was the Executive Director from 1992 - 1999 and has been President of the Chamber since 2006.

Her recent contributions to the community include serving on the City of Wayzata's Financial Task Force, participating in commercial property meetings, and helping to market Wayzata outside the community.

The Wayzata Lions were founded in 1952, and meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at the Wayzata Country Club. For more information, visit their web page at www.WayzataLions.com.

The Wayzata Lions held their annual picnic at the Parkers Lake Picnic Shelter on July 20th. The Wayzata Lions gathered at the Parkers Lake Pavillion on Tuesday July 20th for an annual picnic. New officers were installed, steaks and brats were served by Village Meats in Wayzata, and a good time was had by all.
